This course offers an introduction to programming using Python. Topics addressed are Statement and functions in Python, Conditionals, recursion and iterations, Strings, tuples, lists and dictionaries in Python, Classes and objects of and in Python as well as Spatial processing using Python. The course should equip the participant to define and develop a small application.
This course offers an introduction to the use of R, a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. Topics addressed include the download and installation of R as well as calculation of basic spatial statistics, spatial autocorrelation, variograms and ordinary kriging.
